I hate laundry.

I know, I know.  Everyone hates laundry right?  Well, if that is truly the case, then the existence of two products that make this tiresome task a little easier should be good news to the legions of laundry loathers out there.

Shout Color Catcher sheets are one product that I think everyone could benefit from, but they are particularly helpful for college students, those who have to use coin operated laundries, and travelers.  I know that when my kiddo goes off to college, I will definitely be sending several boxes along with her. When you put one or two of these little babies into the machine, they protect your clothes by absorbing and trapping loose dyes in your wash water.  This saves you time by giving you the option of not sorting your clothes, and it saves you money by eliminating the need to do half-sized loads.
I like to carry a box of these with me when I travel so that while I am on the road, I am able do as few loads of laundry as humanly possible, and so that I can feel safe washing my white blouse with my favorite black socks.  Yeah.  I have a favorite pair of black socks.   So what? 

Another laundry godsend that deserves a shout out is, coincidentally, also made by Shout.  When I first tried their Advanced Stain-Lifting Foam a year or so ago, I finally understood why in the heck these guys used the name “Shout” for their products as I am pretty sure people in the next state could hear me yelling my appreciation.  I may hate laundry, but I do do it, and I do it well, and my number one pet peeve is set grease stains.  Nothing is worse than taking the time to try and make you and your family’s clothes stain and stink-free only to pull a piece of warm, sweet smelling clothing out of the dryer…with a big ol’ greasy stain still on it.  In the past, I used to take the time to spray the stain with WD-40 (oil loosens oil), let it set, and then wash it all out with Dawn dishwashing liquid.  This method worked well, but it was time consuming.  Now, whether I pre-treat greasy stains before I wash the clothes, or whether I belatedly treat a stain that slipped under the radar, effectively dealing with these stains is now a whole lot easier!
