My First Apple Mac Computer

apple-logoBack in early April I bought my very first Apple Mac computer from Ebay. It is a Dual 1.8GHz Power Mac G5, with 2GBs of ram and a 160GB hard drive.

I was fortunate enough to get the G5 installed with the Leopard operating system, (the original Panther disk has been supplied) along with a mixture of software including MS Office, Toast Titanium, Adobe Photoshop CS2 and much more.

Over the coming weeks I do plan to add an extra 2GBs of memory and clone and replace the existing hard drive with a larger capacity one, as well as install a second internal hard drive for backup use.

I will be documenting these upgrades so be sure to check back for future updates in that respect.

In general, I am having a great time learning the new operating system, Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard and I plan to share my experience with you as I learn how everything works and hopefully I will be able to provide a few tips and videos along the way.
